A circle walk up to Los Llanos through the “Barranco Tenisca”, Tazacorte and back to Puerto de Tazacorte
Some Banana trees spending shade … after the first rise up hill… of our trail the view down to Puerto Tazacorte just after crossing the street winding up to Los Llanos letter box art already in the streets of L:os llanos tree fungi here, we past by a restaurant which was located in a huge wine barrel, a pity we didn’t stop for a drink looking west on the path back to Tazacorte at La Palma you always pass banana plantation, wherever you go some chicken enjoying their free life in the plantation back in Tazacorte
Just some pics from the marina and another walk to an organic plantation up in the area of Los Llanos
the boat in the rocks at the marina there were so many of those huge crabs in the waters of the marina a beetle boat no idea what that is for yes! Rain in Puerto de Tazacorte… including a free wash on our way to the organic plantation… unfortunately it was a rather… ugly and boring walk through all the plantation with no success – the organic plantation where we wanted to buy fruit and vegetable was closed😩… at least we had a workout. The way back we chose another route… which was much nicer; here a Plaza in San Borondón with a little chapel a silk tree tree back in Tazacorte the main street of Tazacorte which leads to the centre of the village on the way back to the marina at the end of Tazacorte there is a fancy area where sugar barons used to live, these are the remaining buildings … the plaza with a well and not far from here… a very fancy Hotel hacienda, a building from the 17th century sugar plantation estate we had a little sneak inside; beautiful architecture, decoration and furniture from the 17th to the 19th century the entrance part and the bar and some nice flowers – no idea what that is another plaza within the hacienda area… this plaza includes a little fountain I liked the chair painted bench
we were invited by our neighbours boat, a 65 feet motor cruising boat. The engine room was amazing, El Capitano (he’s tall!) could stand up easily in there I was so impressed I only took pics of the engine room … and the cockpit. We did have a nice evening with the owners of this boat, a very interesting and nice couple from Belgium. Unfortunately they left only two days later starting our sunshade project and behind the motor yacht we visited (beside “little” Altimate) a dead end street in Puerto Tazacorte with a chapel wall the finished half of the shades dinner time on ” Calypso” Heleen welcoming us aboard René taking us back to Altimate after a nice evening on their boat and me climbing into their rib in a not very elegant way
Another nice circle walk from El Pilar/ El Paso
We planned to have a nice circle walk in this area but the path was closed due to falling rocks – it seemed to dangerous to walk. It still was a nice trail but we had to go back at one point.
the viewpoint of Birigoyo shady path and very easy to walk – a perfect trail for me sometimes hot and dry with lots of pebbles …. and rocks.. and suddenly it went … green again close to the turning point, when we come again to the island, we’ll walk that way to Faro de Fuencaliente the view down to El Paso
The brewery walk to “Isla Verde”
somewhere in La Punta on our way to the delicious beer the boys talking about important things? lemon tree very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat 🎶🎵lalalalala I don’t know any song for this fruit, I don’t even know what it is, but it looked pretty pretty streets and … amazing houses in Tirajafe sometimes we also passed dry … and stony areas… with a cross in the middle of nowhere rural places with a lonely pine tree… a cave probably (or should I say hopefully) used for goats the boys posing in front of another cave 😁 almost there, the pick-nick area of… in Tirajafe the last few meters , the blue building in the back is the brewery💪 happy arrival at Isla Verde the whole gang waiting to take the bus back to Puerto Tazacorte after a nice meal and awesome beer; TB, Ingalill, Wolfgang, Uli, Norbert and… Wilfred; he tried to escape but I caught him
Our last days in La Palma with unusual weather and a car
amazing skies… in crazy weather conditions that does not happen very often in La Palma lots of rain running down the streets and paths well the flora is happy about the unusual loads of rain the mascot of the marina the empty anchorage and the beautiful sky the nice bar and restaurant next to the marina office some of our provisioning stored away in the bilge… or in our fruit hammock… or very tidied up in baskets in one of our berth
