Impressions of our Cartagena trip and San Blas

Heading to Cartagena

that nice boat was sailing through the waters of Esnasdup , I just liked the shape of it
we had a fast sail but it was a also wet sometimes
those curious Kuna Girls asked to come aboard Altimate when anchoring in Puerto Perme, cute girls but I can’t recall their names
this screw wrench, which we luckily could borrow from another sailor, saved us to break the lid of our waterfilter; Norbert had tried to get it off for hours without any success – it was tighten way too tight
here we had a nice ice cream at “Plaza de San Diego” in the centre of Cartagena
Plaza de Bolivar

Some images of Cartagenas evening atmosphere

Batman was surprising little girls
another “quinceañera” (celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday , dressing up and taking pics in public)
the couple slowly getting older 😁

Last random pics of Cartagena

sometimes we treat ourselves
“Noli Me Tangere”, the white marble monument at “Camellón de Los Mártires”, represents freedom and resistance against oppression
and the famous “Torre del Reloj”
I just liked that donut Sympsons car
the centre park ‎⁨”El Centernario Plaza⁩” was finally open again
a birthday surprise in front of the marina for whoever
those sweet ladies where sitting next to the marina almost every day selling sweets
‎⁨”El Centernario Plaza⁩” by day
and the park with Norberto

Mostly Isla Fuerte

Isla Rosarios by sunset
the anchorage at Rosarios in the morning
a pic of Santa Cruz del Islote, famously known as the most densely populated island on Earth, we had visited the first time but weren’t very impressed
anchorage at Isla Fuerte
Isla Fuerte provides nice walking trails
that looks so cosy
the smaller “walking tree” of the island
from the inside of that tree
the highest point of the island
here a part of THE “walking tree”
I do miss flowers
bougainvilla
mangoes soon ready to pic
more donkeys
bam! what a colour
Puerto Limón, Isla Fuerte’s little town
we had a limonada and this guy was passing by with all his plastic baskets, buckets and more, unfortunately I didn’t catch him better
a proud rooster
back at the Eco lodge , Altimate peeks out between the trees if you look closely
the peacock was still at the lodge

Back in Sapzurro

We had great sailing conditions as well as great watching champions league conditions here comes the proof:

Soccer at sea
always beautiful staying in Sapzurro
we had even found a place we hadn’t been before, the cemetery of Sapzurro
just in case you were wondering what I was doing with all the coffee bags I collected
a rainbow above the hills
another trip to Miel which provided again a perfect view of the bay of Sapzurro
already down at Miel
a proof of that we all use way too much plastic- it often ends up like here at the shores- very sad
I took this selfie to give an impression of how many tourist came that day to Miel (Panama); just because they could buy tax free here? that was so crazy, there was beach, palm trees, a few huts and this tax free giant shop- unbelievable to us but it seemed very appreciated by Colombian tourists
a tourist burning in the sun in Miel

Off to San Blas

my birthday breakfast
the birthday girl
all the pics I had this time from my birthday
here we visited Caledonia, a Kuna village, as I know the Gunas don’t like to be photographed, I took only boring pics
not sure if that was a bathroom
papaya trees are always amazing to me, they put all their energy in their fruits
we had never seen such a clean village, they even seemed to separate garbage nowadays, I just don’t know where they get rid of it
rainbow alighting the palm trees

Bahia Golondrina/ Snug Harbour and Esnasdup

a dinghy stroll within the bay
Altimate looked so small
that was the entrance of Bahia Golondrina, a very protected mangrove bay
the hills ashore were most of the time covered inn clouds
we caught a huge king mackerel
we had more than 3kg of fish filet- a challenge to eat it all before getting bad
that was one of the islands with the difficult name Guannirguinnitdup, we wanted to stay there but it was too rolly
butterfly sailing to Esnasdup
and finally fresh goodies
