Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse was built in 1875 and is still an active Beacon of Navigation in the Chesapeake Bay not too far from Annapoliswe were happy to be on our way but boy it was cold!already close to Norfolk, very typical to see many military marine ships the anchorage in Norfolk/Portsmouth, looking direction Norfolka very military anchoragesomewhere in Portsmouthtypical East coast houseswe had found a funny general storethe store offered almost everything Christmas decoration next to household items – I liked that!Christmas tree in front of the famous Thyme on the River restaurantThis pavilion displays a first order Fresnel lens from the second Hog Island Light. The lens began its service in 1896. Originally built in 1852, the first building was destroyed by erosion and rebuilt in 1896, only to be deactivated in 1948.

a few miles behind Norfolk Great Bridge Locka half sunken sail boatin the ICW close to CoinJockat an anchorage in North River, at night the tug boats push even two containers through the ICW, we were glad that they don’t do it at daytimes as it can get pretty narrow in some areassuch a beautiful sunrisethe big Linsay C. Warren Bridge about half way to Beaufortthe good part of the ICW is one can easily cook😋somewhere in Pungo River Alligator River Canal, Fairfield, Outer BanksGale Creek, Hobucken, Outer Banks

when I came back from laundry this beauty passed by AltimateEl Capitano as Santa Claussending Christmas wishes to SantaI made some xmas cookies “Spritzgebäck” didn’t turn our very well but hey who cares – they tasted goodthe new hydraulic ram had just arrivedat the Bock Marina just before being lifted the first pic of the bend ram, I know its hard to seethe liftopening the side plates to reach the hydraulic ramthe boat just stayed in the lift for the replacementthe proof that it was freezing cold, still some frost on the wooden planks from the dockfinished!!!! Yesssssss
