Stretching our legs ashore at Halifax.
We started at the little beach just beside where we anchored and hiked up the hill. Reaching the top we were spoiled by beautiful views and like always – amazing nature. Hoping to find some civilisation, we followed the path and reached the main road which runs along the west coast of Grenada. A few houses along the street and a papaya plantation was all we found. Though the walk was fantastic especially after another complete lockdown weekend.

Our last garbage walk to the hamlet of Brizan, before we sailed to Saline island / Carriacou
we left the dinghi at the beach 
and walked through the river. 
Fortunately a local showed us where to go through the water as it was pretty deep and you really had to know where to put your feet if you didn´t want to get completely wet. 😁

Our trip to Saline Island / Carriacou

somewhere between Gouyave and Victoria 
the northern end of Grenada. How excited we were when we arrived 8 month ago and sailed down this side of Grenada to finally arrive in St George. Now were excited to leave to explore soon more islands

that booth used to be the well known vegetarian restaurant; unfortunately the owner got very sick and left to go back home to Italy

one huge solar crab, it was too big to properly fit in our bucket; I was scared he could escape from there so we didn’t take him 
Ron had a rope fixed for dinghies to come ashore, I can’t imagine so many boats in the bay for which Ron prepared the rope 
Ron and family had visitors over from Carriacou for lunch and a swim-walk one day 
the three of them saying goodbye; they went over to “the main land” to get some groceries ,we were leaving for good or at least for a long time

our first day of socializing at Paradise Beach, we were helping Irma and Kevin getting their new heavy rib back in the water

Ron showed us how to clean a prickly pear; it is so easy if you know what to do! Just rub the nasy tiny prickles softly on grass or surface and just like this they’re gone. 
now I wanted to try the fruit, looked yammi, but was not my favorite. I guess it’d be better to make juice 
while having a walk with Louise and Joseph we found this turtle walking around 
the beautiful I-don’t-know-the-name-of-plants and the boys walking ahead of us

The new owner of Iguana at the Carriacou marina was a huge football fan, so after a long time we could watch football on a big sreen again

Diane from Lumba Dive which I knew from noodling helped me to get our cutlass sharpened from a local; while I was waiting I found the keyholder she made 
a cactus plant, which Diane was growing
Calvin a very nice and smart mechanic did the valve adjustment on the engine which Norbert couldn’t do himself 
and a last breakfast at Sally’s place the Kayak Kafe 
it is a must go in Hillsborough; Sally is a wonderful lady with terrific food and an amazing history 
and such a fun lady!
