Impressions of Linton and San Blas

Linton Bay

getting closer to Panamá
the space ship like water apartment was now outside of the bay; we were glad to arrive before sunset as this apartment was neither lit at night nor mentioned anywhere
the marina at night, the chandler underneath the bar made it look so much nicer; before it was just a shabby open concrete area
overcasted anchorage didn’t look so nice
Norbert was pulling me in our new dinghy to Altimate
new dinghy on the left, old one on the right
lunch at Nancy’s place with the nice view on the anchorage
the anchorage view from Altimate
I do look like I just got up but that was my professionally styled just out of bed look!!!! waiting early in the morning to get the bus to Sabanitas for grocery shopping
that area always looks so lush, green and fresh
enjoying the bus ride

Heading to San Blas

the weather not so nice, but hey it was rainy season
soon we saw a first Guna lancha – we were back in San Blas!!!
first stop in the Lemon Cays at Isla Nugnudup
not our favourite place to be but nice for a stop over

First days at the pool at Banedup

Just after dropping the anchor in the pool I didn’t believe my eyes!!! Something which looked like a log was moving slowly against the current. How was that possible??? I asked Norbert to come up to check whether he was seeing the same I was seeing. Indeed he did! A crocodile was soundlessly swimming by. OMG. To be absolutely sure we jumped into the dinghy to get a closer look.

it did look like a log but then it suddenly disappeared
the hut on the left will be the future luxury love bird rent out, the big hut on the right was Ibins new restaurant area – massive
here the view of the restaurant from ashore
everything was bigger now – even the signs
the path was not only market by conch but also now with planted palm trees
the south east end of Banedup looked sad, some Gunas had roded too many palm trees that erosion had started
the other south side of Banedup looking at Tiadup
now further west of Banedup looking at Quinquindup on the left and Ogopirriadup in the middle, the big island further back is Kalugirdup
the little bar and backpacker area on the south side had improved much, now it looked pretty
the places now had star link too as well as enough solar or generators to provide cold beverages and more
Altimate at the north side of Banedup
already on our second day Ilka had organised a BBQ on Morrodup because Aydin (her son) had caught a huge fish, big enough to feed a lot of people
Marc, Debbie and Norbert waiting for the fish to get ready
more people had arrived for the feast
on our third day we started to play volleyball
volleyball and potluck
here we had a beer with some friends on the south side of Banedup
nurse sharks came close to shore hoping for same easy bites
sunset at Ibins
and the bar from the south side of Banedup
