here we had a look at the “Palacio de Gobierno” which was completed in 1892 and is an important piece of Mérida’s history; a government office, which also acts as a museum and shows local artifacts like murals and oil paintings, I can’t recall exactly but the mural was about the conquest of the Mayan peoplePlaza de la Indepedencia looking at the town hallof course the plaza had a lot of touristy things , but I kinda liked those venylbagsbecause Eva was not a tourist the nice lady made us fresh churrosa courtyard at a nice restaurant close to downtownevery house seemed to have beautiful tileshere we had met up shortly with Eva’s second daughter Kittya typical Yucatan dish mix Eva explained: from left bottom, Cocinita pibil, Poc chuc, Longanizada asada , Frijol colado in the bowl, Panucho just left above the bowl and Quesadilla in the left upper cornermy room in Mérida – big Teddy was looking after me
