Impressions of Isla Mujeres I

catamaran packed with tourists at the channel between the island and Cancun mainland
not very good to see but the anchorage was full of boats
the check in requirements looked easy but it took a long time
waiting at the immigration office
waiting at the agriculture office
so many fruits just at a smoothy bar
at sunset the crowd got less
plenty of food
sometimes they had strange food, that was fried pork skin
I think that was super thin cut meat
need some beverages?
they even had croissants!!! even fairly good
there typical vehicle of Isla Mujeres, that was early in the morning, that was why the street was empty
at one of the small, though super expensive marinas
I wasn’t expecting crocodiles at the beach
at the south side of the island there was a little lake
at the east side at the narrow part of the island
some funny wall decoration along the walk side
the walkway along the rough east side
at night at the northern part, local kids were playing basketball
Iglesia de Conception Immaculada
some young tourists taking pics with the Mayan guy
the north beach
we had thought of going into a marina and then exploring mainland Mexico but the marinas were not very safe and just ridiculously expensive
the entrance area of that marina resort was pretty
LA TRIGUENA
a monument at the north side
Isla Mujeres dock, leaving early to get to Cancún
only 20 min later we were docked at Puerto Juarez, Cancún
the lighthouse Gran Puerto
