The second stop was at Port Jefferson bay
That was about half way of the Long Island Sound. A storm was coming, so we anchored to be protected from the south west winds making sure to have as less fetch as possible. Well the storm came but unfortunately the wind came from the opposite direction and we had to cope with onshore winds. Fortunately the windspeed wasn’t higher than just above 30knots.
it was nice and calm when we arrived it didn’t look very cozyit was a very uncomfortable afternoon
the next morning the bad weather was gone and everything looked just peaceful
The next stop was at East Harbour at Fishers Island
We arrived late and only stayed for the night. Had to find an anchorage in between the moorings. We left early, had a nice sailing day and arrived at Newport in the early afternoon.
