Lady Seagull our buddy boat from Great Inagua to the Ragged islands our first stop at the Ragged Islands, we only stayed for the night we kept pulling out half fishwe were invited for a sundowner on Seagull at the anchorage of Double Breasted Island, Cathy and Joea cold front sending strong westerly winds forced us to find shelter at Racoon Cay as there were not much anchorages providing shelter for westerly winds all the boats in that area gathered together at Racoon Cayrisotto with home made fish broth ,conch meat and lobster tail very niceI was getting ready to open the conch Mr Conch was hiding deep inside his house, he probably knew what was comingcleaned conch meatwe went for a stroll along the island Racoon baythe vegetation was always dense pretty low and prickly yet prettyan inside pondthe water was always stunningAltimate with some other boatscruisers gathering at the beachall the boats were there for shelter
Double Breasted Cay
After the front went through we headed back the few nautical miles to Double breasted Cay to explore little more the island.
our hovering dinghyjust another beautiful sunsetnice view out of our living roomyes it was getting cold in the evenings, I needed a coverNorthern Curly-tailed Lizard, we have seen many of them, funny fellows without any fearthe rough side of the islandunfortunately like on every island a lot of plastic was washed ashorewe walked all along to the north tip of the islandwe tried to walk around the island to get b ack where we started but only just before we were almost back the vegetation was super dense and we had to go all the way backyes I was there toothis funny plastic lobster made me jump he sat ashore on a stick and was even moving his antennasand here we had our first home made conch saladone morning the wind had shifted 180 degrees, we were a bit close to shore, a little move was necessary
Jamaica Cay
We spent a week at that cay collecting coconuts and whelks and did a lot of fishing and lobstering
