The last morning in Woburn bay

walking up the hill to buy some groceries before leaving
just to get an idea how the houses look like
and here suddenly the “Quality Car Wash”

a star apple, looks beautiful when cut, the taste looked more promising than it actually was…but maybe I cut it too early
Our first day in Halifax Harbour, very relaxing

the beginning of a birthday table
and a happy birthday girl
the little islet in the bay, there is a bar/restaurant, but we saw it only once open; it looked as if it was booked for a party
Carina the beautiful vessel of our Canadian friends
and some pics of beautiful birthday sunsets
even an ugly fishing boat can look amazing in the sunset
the colours are sometimes incredible beautiful
Some impressions from the bay

el capitano and his rib
the other side of the little island including the view of the bar
ooopsi I found my favourite German chips somewhere in the boat; a late birthday present yammmiiiiii
and tarte au citron; our favourite cake ; I could not bake it for my birthday as it was not possible to find any lemon at this time🤷♀️; but a week later we found some
a little fish
some birds resting after their hunt for fish
an old wreck
same here

trying to catch the three boats of us, Malok, Altimate and Carina
James is visiting Anna and Nick on Malok

those little fish jumped into the dinghy; we managed to get them all out alive and put them back in the water
These guys all jumped in the dinghy
The last days in Halifax bay

a 5 mile ride with the dinghy to St George’s
the mouthful just before the tunnel

it’s a pretty narrow tunnel, fortunately it’s a one way street
walking back to the dinghy on Port Hwy
typical Canadian Easter cookies, called butter tarts; Shell made some and shared some with us
my trial of preparing sea-moss; we found it everywhere on the market and I wanted to try it, it’s supposed to be very healthy
our yearly and easterly “Hefezopf”
a swim in the sunset

locals preparing the beach for easter

these girls were enjoying the easter weekend in “our” bay
and I guess El Capitano was enjoying to watch them 😁
Next anchorage Ronde island, only for two nights
The three boats all left Halifax bay Easter Monday to sail to Ronde island. Malok stayed only one night at Ronde island and then went on directly to Tyrell bay/ Carriacou. After two nights Carina also headed to Tyrell bay while we decided to try the shallow anchorage at Saline island. Just a few miles east of the very south end of Carriacou.

Grenada west coast close to Dothan bay
just passing Gouyave
just a few miles before Ronde island
just before the anchorage, some small islands
I think the “little sisters”
Ronde island anchorage

Malok at sunset
I prepared the sea moss and read that is good for your skin, mixed with kurkuma…
a trip with the dinghi with James
El Capitano
and Shell
the four of us challenging our dinghi
Altimate alone in the big ocean
our destination
riding from one end to the other

and finally approaching the little sisters
with a lot of bird pooh which was easier to catch
the birds kept hiding or flying away

and finally we managed to take a pic of a turtle, yessssss
Carina leaving the anchorage very early in the morning
Saline Island, crystal clear water in a small and very shallow anchorage

the water is soooo beautiful

and snorkeling so much fun
everywhere goats and sheep, only one goat to see the other were hiding
the evidence only 1,8 meter depth
A short trip to the neighbour island called White island

overwhelmed with excitement of the beauty of the reef, El capitano was
even willing to pose 😁

it’s not that easy write letters in the sand

but after some attempts I was fast enough

the west side

in the background Carriacou
the east side of the island
in the back again Carriacou
in the left the end of Saline island

and back to our anchorage
Tyrell bay

On the way to Tyrell bay we found Fuchur, the dragon from “The never ending story”
sheeps everywhere
the bay with a lot of boats

the french frog bar with good food

ash windows

ash everywhere from the volcano eruption on St. Vincent main island around 100km away
